FAQ #76 – What About SENIOR DISCOUNTS In Ecuador?
Senior discounts in Ecuador are a thing! You’ll be happy to know that lots of services, such as public transportation, mobile phones, restaurants, etc. offer discounts to senior citizens that can be as high as 50%.
“La tercera edad” literally translates to third age, but the term refers to the elderly. The Ecuadorian culture treats la tercera edad with a lot of respect. In addition to discounts on purchases, the elderly are also allowed to cut in line at the banks, grocery stores and most places where lines form.
If you’re in la tercera edad, you will appreciate living in Ecuador.
